WINGATUI FATALITY
INQUEST ON O’CONNELL. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, June 6. At the inquest on the jockey, William O’Connell, who was killed when riding in the Steeplechase at Wingatui, Alexander McMullen., the jockey on Aurora, stated that Isla Bank crashed into a hurdle without rising, and turned a complete somersault. O’Connell was an experienced and steady jockey. The verdict was that O’Connell was accidentally killed
