WELLINGTON SITTINGS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 8. A negro, Christopher Martis, failed to appear at the Supreme Court this morning on charges of theft from the person,, on which charges bail was allowed. Martis has a record and it was said he went to Australia. His bail, £lOO, was ordered to be estreated. Francip Osman Burke, on the same charge, was then placed in the dock and pleaded not guilty. A Maori, Miroi Urupini was found guilty of breaking and entering a house at Lyall Bay. Sentence was deferred.
