The official opening of the new billiard parlours in the Selwyn Buildings was held under most auspicious circumstances last evening, a very large and enthusiastic number of the city’s ending men being present. . secretary of the Selwyn Buildings c; Plicate (Mr F. G. Hill) on behalf of the management, welcomed the visitors, and in a neat and appropriate speech, declared the room open for play. The proprietor, Mr C. Pringle, courteously entertained those present by making a free.
