KISMET WRAGGE’S FORECAST. [By Telegraph. —Special to Chronicle.] BIRKENHEAD, May 6. Forecast for 7 days.—Occasional passing showers likely at first in central King Country under the extreme rearside of the disturbance Satis, but chiefly fine, with areas of clouds under high pressure influence. Cold nights inland, with frosts and winds, chiefly between S.W.S. and E.S.E., backing to northerly about the close of the period in response to the advent of a new Antarctic disturbance, Tandem. Sea moderating. Sun continues quiet. [The above forecast was made specially by Mr Kismet Wragge, F.R.Met.S., for the area of which Wanganui is the centre.] (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May fl. Present indications are for moderate to strong south-easterly to northeasterly winds, northward of Hokitika and Lyttelton, increasing north-east to north-west winds elsewhere.
