ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
AN UNUSUAL ACCIDENT. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, March 25. An accident of a somewhat unusual nature befel Mr Harris, a farmer, at Taradale, to-day. Whilst driving a small car on a country road, Harris smelt fire, and as he looked round lost control. The car crashed into a telegraph pole, which snapped off and fell over the hood of the car. Had the driver been sitting up straight when the pole fell, instead of leaning opt, he would probably have been injured. As it was, he just had time to get out before the car was enveloped in flames. A BODY FOUND. (Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, March 25. The body of Leonard Allen, drowned in the Waikato at Atiamuri, on March 9, was found this evening near Ongaroto.
