SUPREME COURT
WELLINGTON SITTINGS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 24. The Chief Justice to-day sentenced the following prisoners who pleaded guilty in the Lower Court: Alfred Allan Street (Wanganui), farmer, for false pretences, to three years’ probation, and ordered him to pay back £65 within two years. Sydney Harold Cummings, forgery and uttering, at Palmerston North, two years’ probation, and to make restitution in two months.
Jesse Wilbor Winslow, theft from a dwelling, to three years’ reformative detention.
Herbert Rex Harrison, attempted arson at Woodville, to nine months, with hard labour.
