The Chief Justice to-day sentenced the following prisoners who pleaded guilty in the Lower Court: Alfred Allan Street (Wanganui), farmer, for false pretences, to three years’ probation, and ordered him to pay back £65 within two years. Sydney Harold Cummings, forgery and uttering, at Palmerston North, two years’ probation, and to make restitution in two months.
