FATALITY AT HOROPITO
MAN ACCIDENTALLY KILLED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A man named Robert Ash, aged 54 years, and well-known, in this part of the Waimarino, was acc' ’entally killed on Friday last at Horopito. He was employed as truckie at Carter’s mill, ana as the trucks were going through a small cutting towards the mill the logcamo off the truck and pinned hint against the bank. Death must have been instantaneous, for when released it was found he had a broken arm, and his legs and ribs were crushed to pulp. His remains were brought to Baetiki for burial on Sunday. Deceased was a widower, his wife having died at Wanganui about twelve months ago. He Reaves three young children.
