ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
The usual monthly meeting of the committee of the St. John Ambulance Association was held last Wednesday, March 12, in the St. John room. It was decided to advertise classes in first aid, commencing at qprly dates, on Tuesday evenings for men, and Thursday evenings for ladies. Intending students should enrol at the St. John room, or give their names to the class secretaries, Mr J. H. Melton and Miss H. J. Vine, both care of P.O. Box 404. The fee for the course of lectures is 7/6 payable in advance and includes the examination and issue of certificate.
Routine business in connection with the motor ambulance was dealt with. The Ambulance Day report was received, and the thanks of the Association are tendered to the ladies who worked so strenuously on that occasion. The following additional sums are acknowledged: Mr V. Knuckoy (per Hodson’e Garage) 10/-; Girls’ College £1 5s 7d; Sundry donations (including Castlccliff Freezing Works) £1 17s.
