A London cable states that Mr. Bonar Law was able to take a motor drive into the country on Saturday. Skipper Francis, the popular entertainer, leaves by to-day’s express for Hawera. where he plays a season at the Opera House. He will pay a return visit to Wanganui about July. Mr Justice Reed, who is to preside ever the sittings of rhe Supreme Court commencing to-day, arrived from New Plymouth yesterday. His Honour and Mrs Reed are staying at Hotel Braeburn.
