The many friends of Mr. A. G. Bignell. who recently underwent a painful but fortunately successful operation, will be pleased to learn that he is making steady progress towards recovery. The New Zealand Methodist Times intimates that the Bev. W. J. Elliott will be leaving New Plymouth in April of next year. It is understood that the Rev. T. R. Richards, who has been at Napier for about ten years, has accepted an invitation to the pastorate of Whiteley Church. Mr Alec. B. Hellmrich, general manager for the Exhibitors’ Films Ltd , 1-IB Castlereagh St., Sydney, and Mr Davis, general manager for New Zealand, were visitors to Wanganui yesterday. They ’eave for Napier this”morning on business With the opening of their New Zealand exchange.
