The concert to be held under the auspices of the Swankers’ Club at His Majesty’s Theatre to-morrow (Sunday) evening after church services have concluded, will be well up to the high standard of excellence which is a feature of the Swankers’ undertakings. A very fine programme, consisting of items by Mr Harrold Roberts, Mr Trevor Thomas, Mr Paul S. Latham, Miss Mclntyre, Mrs Leo. Campion and Mrs W. E. Wilson will be presented, and in addition Mr G. Van Heck, the wellkown violinist, will, by special request, again render the beautiful “Angels Guard Thee” (Goddard- . solo, which was so much enjoyed at the concert held last Sunday. The i Swankers have also been fortunate i in securing the services of the well- : known tenor Mr Claud Suisted, whose ■ fine singing will be w-ell remembered ‘ by the Wanganui public. The Queen Alexandra Band, under . Lieut. G. Buckley, will play a selee ; tion from their large repertoire for the opening item, and the champion . trombone trio of the band will also render an item. The accompanists . will be Miss Ethel Bignell, L.A.8., Mrs C. Suisted and Mr R. Olliver. We hope that His Majesty’s Theatre will be packed to the doors and that patrons will contribute liberally as the Swankers are urgently in need of funds for their work. _ I WESTMINSTER GLEE SINGERS. Another glorious treat was given by the Westminster Glee Singers at the Opera House last evening. A fairly large audience was present, i Encores were the order of the evening, and the members of the company proved themselves to be as generous as they are gifted.
