PARAMOUNT-MUNICIPAL. “BOSTON BLACKIE” IS HERE, SATURDAY AND MONDAY ONLY. A good crook melodrama with a brand new angle is a rare and pleas ing thing in the movies. “The Face in the Fog,” featuring Lionel Barry more and Seena Owen, and wilb Lowell Sherman heading the support ing cast, furnishes just such a story The picture, which is a Paramount, will bo shown to-morrow afternoon, evening, and again on Monday evening. "The Face in the Fog” was adapted from one of Jack Boyle's popular "Boston Blackie” stories. Lionel Barrymore is seen as the famous crook. However, in this story, "Blackie” has reformed and is now leading the life of a respectable citizen of New York. Quite innocently he and his wife Mary become in volved in the schemes of a gang of international crooks to rob an expatriated Russian princess of her diamond heirlooms. "Blackie” at once jumps into the swim on the side of righteousness and, adapting some of the stratagems and tricks of the trade that he learned during his sojourn in the underworld, foils the villains, after a series of hair-raising and unusual adventures that take one behind the scenes in Broadway night life. Lionel Barrymore does some of the best work of his career as “Boston Blackie.” Mary McLaren. former Universal star, is “Mary,” and Seena Owen is seen as the princess. Lewell Sherman has an important role. In addition will be shown the special, “One Wild Week,” with Bebe Daniels and Herbert Standing as the leading artists. On Tuesday next a special attraction will be presented with Mae Murray in “BroadwayRose.” Box plan, as usual, at Messrs H. I. Jones and Son’s.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS FOR NEXT WEEK. With Mae Murray in the stellar role of “Broadway Rose,” patrons will see the beautiful Metro star in an elaborate production, which is said to surpass even “Peacock Alley" and “Fascination.” The picture is a dramatic novelty of the most unusual type, and the supporting pictures are of exceptional merit. BAND OF HOPE. A meeting of the Band of Hope formed on April 23rd. was held in the Upper Aratnoho Church on May 7th. 'I lie meeting opened with a song, followed by prayer. A short talk by the leader vas appreciated by all present. Mottos were repeated. An address by Mr Elliott, was heartily appreciated by the audience. A pianoforte solo was rendered by D. Good. Recitations were given by R. Poad, D. Hopiey, Mrs Anderson, E. Field. C. Anderson, and A. Poad. Songs were given by E. and J. Benbrook, R. and E. Field, and N. Hopiey. The singing of the National Anthem, and the pronouncing of the Benediction closed the happy meeting. The next meeting will he held on May 21st, at 7 p.m.
