GREAT BRITAIN LEADS. LONDON, January 23. Llovd’s register summary of shipbuilding during 1922 states that the world’s launchings totalled 2,467,054 gross tons, of which the output from Great Britain and Ireland was 1,031,081. The other principal outputs were : Germany 575,000, France 184,000, Holland 163,000, United States 119,000, Italy 101,000 and Japan 83,000. This showed a reduction of 1,847,000 tons compared with 1921, spread over every country except Germany. The year’s launches throngliout the world included 153 vessels of over 6000 tons, of which 27 were over 10,000. The largest, the Columbus, 35,000 tons, was launched at Danzig The summary points out that during the '-ears 1905-13 tj>e addition to the world’s mechantmen totalled 22,250,000 tons, whereas between 1914 and 1922 the addition was nearly 34,000,000 tons
