(Per Press Association.) TJMARU, Jan. 25. The Canterbury v. South Canterbury cricket match was continued at To* muka to-day, and dull weather and a dry ing w icket gave the visitors a big ada vantage with the ball and the honif side made a somewhat indifferent show. With 341 to make the home side starts cd disastrously ai.J the first innings closed at 80. Six changes in bowling were tried, McEwen taking 3 for 12/ Blunt 2 for 8, Sandman 2 for 14. South Canterbury followed on and shaped better, managing to play out time and save an innings defeat. Thd score stood at lie for 8 when stumpt were drawn to allow the visitors to proceed on a southern tour. Read took 4 wickets for 16. Hat per (29) was thd top scorer for the home side.
