CHEQUE BETTING.
A TEST CASE. Received July 13, 11.15 p.m. MELBOURNE, July 13. In the Supreme Court, a cheque betting test case commenced. The executors in the esiate of the late Richard Garland applied for leave to enter a first judgment against Herbert Englebert, bookmaker, for the recovery of £405 alleged to have been paid by Garland by cheque in settlement of a betting transaction.
