ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

(Per Press Association.) L CHRISTCHURCH, May 13. The dead body of Mrs MacDonald, wife of Ronald MacDonald, well known in business and social circles, was found this morning at the foot of the cliffs at Scarborough, Sumner. Everything points to deceased having fallen from the top of the cliffs, which at this point are 400 feet high. Mrs MacDonald was missed yesterday evening and a search was made but abandoned owing to darkness and heavy seas.

INQUEST.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 13. At the inquest on Mrs Ronald M. MacDonald, whose body was found at the foot of the cliffs at Sumner, the evidence showed that she had been a sufferer from giddiness, and it would be a very dangerous thing for her to go near a cliff. The verdict was that death was due to severe and extensive injuries caused through accidentally falling down a cliff.
