In accordance with Section 43 (1) of the Education Act, 1914, it is hereby publicly notified that the Annual Meeting of Householders in each School District for the election of a School Committee for the ensuing year will be held on MONDAY, Ist MAY. 1922, at 8 p.m. Unless otherwise stated, the meeting will be held in the school. The Board, in accordance with Section 1 of the Third Schedule of the Act, calls upon the householders in each district to send in writing by post or delivery, so as to be delivered to the Chairman of the School Committee not later than 8 o’clock in the evening of Monday, 24th April, 1922, the names of persons, being householders, nominated for election to serve upon the Committee. Each nomination must be signed by the proposer and by the candidate. Except in the case of those schools which had an average attendance of more than 120 for the year 1921, any householder present at the annual meeting may at such meeting nominate any householder for election to serve on the Committee, and a householder so nominated, and by word of mouth or by writing given to the Chairman consenting to be so nominated, shall be a candidate for election.
