SIR ARTHUR PEARSON MEMORIAL FUND. DOMINION APPEAL TO BE MADE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 28. A public meeting decided to launch a Dominion appeal for £45,000, carrying a Government subsidy of 24/- in the £. making a total ot £lOO.OOO, as a Sir Arthur Pearson Memorial fund to assist the blind throughout New Zealand.

Mr. Clutha Mackenzie said that only the income—between £5OOO and £6ooo—would be expended. Of this £2500 would be spent in assisting men and women in business, £250 on typewriters and Braile machines for those studying, £6OO annually in sending students to England to receive instruction by experts in classes for those entering professions. Supervision of the business would absorb £550 to £7OO.
