A FATAL FIRE.

A DRAMATIC SEQUEL. LONDON, March 21. A most dramatic case has arisen at Norwich. A widespread newspaper scheme ..as initiated as a New Year advertising dodge, of insurances covering sickness, fire, street, railway and motoring accidents, the papers competing Ju their generosity and promptitude in payment. A fire recently broke out in the house of Frederick George, a greengrocer, in which his wife, son and daughter were burned to death. George escaped. The jury at the inquest added a rider that George .should have made a greater attempt to save his family. The Coroner has since again referred to the case: 'George insured his wife and family in a newspaper scheme tor £250, which was promptly paid. He must have written immediately to the newspaper. If 1 had known this at the tihe of the inquest the verdict would have been different. In the circumstances it looks like a serious case against George. 1 have communicated with the police.”
