GENOA CONFERENCE.

MR. LLOYD GEORGE’S POSITION. LONDON, March 21. In the House of Commons, at question time, the Right Hon. Austin Chamberlain announced that the Genoa Conference would be held on 19th April, as arranged. Mr. Lloyd George, Lord Curzon, and Sir Robert Horne would represent Britain. He added that Mr. Lloyd George would return to the House of Commons on April 3rd and take the opinion of the House on the Government’s policy at Genoa. The Government's motion in regard thereto would clearly raise the question of confidence, for it was impossible to ask Mr. Lloyd George to go to Genoa if there was any doubt about his authority.
