BOXING.

(By “Ring Side”). The interest seems to be increasing as the night of the great fight draw’s near. It is safe to say Cann and Pascoe axe being talked about more than any other two men in Wanganui just at present. Whereever you go it is the same old question “Are you going to see the fight on Saturday night?” and “whom do you pick to win ” Two men on the Quay last night tried to decide the matter by rehearsing the match, but left in a hurry when advised a man in blue was coming to referee. It is said money is tight, but to hear the sums offered for and against each man makes one think the bankers have opened their coffers again. Cann is wonderfully fit and will go the distance without turning a hair. Pascoe will find him a much harder man than he was last November, and a very much faster. Reports from Auckland are that “Paddy” is fitter than he has ever been and means to have that decision. There can be no doubt that the audience will see thq greatest fight ever staged in Wanganui on Saturday night. The box plan is open at H. I. Jones and Son and patrons would be well advised to book early and be sure of their seats. Ringside seats are only 5/- and booking 6d extra and no tax. Mr. Frank Burns will be referee.
