FRENCH PRESS CRITICISM. PARIS, March 13. The Gaulois says America unexpectedly claims her part of the legitimate booty exacted from Germany. To-morrow perhaps America will exact payment of her debts. What will it profit her to ruin our unhappy Continent? What will she gain by raising with out milliards alongside the Statue of Liberty a grandiose monument to the golden calf. America plunged into the water the moment we looked like drowning, but would abandon without help the person whom he had just pulled from a watery grave?
