TO FIGHT PROHIBITION.

(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, March 14. Delegates representing the brewery workers of all the principal centres in the Dominion discussed the formation of a Federation embracing the various unions. Mr B. Martin, of Auckland, was appointed chairman. The conference unanimousily decided that a federation should be formed covering brewery, aerated water and related trades and a set of rules was drafted. The present unions, it is stated, comprise about a third of the workers in the trade, approximately 1000. A number of steps will be taken to organise the whole of the workers throughout the Dominion. The offices of the Federation will be located for the next two years in Christchurch. Mr G. A. Brown (Christchurch) was appointed president, and Dlr R. W. Walker (Christchurch) secretary. The conference discussed various other matters.
