A QUESTION OF HOLIDAYS. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 4. In the application of the New Zealand Related Printing Trades Association to amend the Notrhern Taranaki, JVellington, Westland, Canterbury, Otago and Southland Printers’ Machinists, Lithographers, Bookbinders, etc., Award, so as to provide for holidays as under clause 6 (f) of the award, the Arbitration Court stated it was satifiel the amendment was not one that could be made under the provision of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918. As the application was opposed ,the Court pointed out that there was no power to amend the award under the provisions of the principal Act. The application accordingly was refused.
