ANNUAL MEETING OF N.Z. RUGBY UNION. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union will be held on Thursday afternoon at Wellington. Wanganui’s delegates are Messrs G. H. Pownall, A. Way (Marton) and G. H. Dixon (Wellington). Some of the business- to be dealt with will probably come under discussion at the Wanganui Union’s committee meeting this afternoon. NOTES AND COMMENTS. There apears to be some misunderstanding as to the privileges attaching to the season tickets now on sale. For the information of those concerned it is announced that these tickets are available during the season for all club and representative matches with two exceptions. The first exception is the South AfricaWanganui match, which is under the New Zealand Union’s auspices, and the second is the Charity Cup match, all proceeds from which go towards the players’ accident insurance fund. With these exceptions, the season tickets will admit the bearer into all cup and representative matches. They may be purchased from Blundell and Brown’s and the secretary. The fixtures for the competitions have been drawn up and appear in this issue. Next Saturday in the senior contests, the opening games will be Old Boys-Marists and Kaierau-Ara-moho. The latter date falls on a Wednesday by the way, and it would be an advantage if Wanganui could swop dates with Taranaki, who have been given August 6th. The Rec. is altogether too small for the thousands of spectators who desire to view the representative matches, owing to the nature of the general lay-out of the grounds. The entry of Aramoho into the senior ranks this season has occasioned no little surprise, and it is the general wish that they will be able to carry through to the end. At present they seem to be pretty weak. Members and intending members of the Aramoho Club are asked to attend practice at the A.B.C. shed this and Thursday evenings. In Messrs Haywood and Wilson the Aramoho Club have two really good men at the head of affairs, and their efforts to keep the yellow and blacks in the senior ranks are to be commended. The players’ insurance fund scheme is undergoing alterations to rules, and the insurance committee is expected to bring down a report on the matter at this afternoon’s meeting of the Management Committee. There is certainly need for re-
