ALLEGED THEFT.

(Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, April 25. James Patrick Flinn, rate clerk for the Hastings' Borough Council, was arrested this afternoon by De-tective-Sergt. Butler and charged at the Magistrate’s Court that on the 11th March he did steal £3 4 12s 4d, the property of the Council. Accused was remanded for a week on bail, self £4OO, and two sureties of £2OO each, which amount was forthcoming. It is understood the defacations amount to the vicinity of £4OO.
