LONDON, Nov. 4. The interim report of the accountant to the sub-committee investigating the wool profits reveal extraordinary statstics. It shows that one firm made thirty-five times more profit than pre-war, or nearly twentyfive times more after deducting the excess profit duty. The least successful firm examined by the accountant showed four times the pre-war profit after deducting the excess profits duty. The Yorkshire Post states that of twenty thousand bales'of Australian wool purchased by Austria, the prices for nine thousand will be on the basis of the prices at the last London sales, four thousand on the basis of the first London auctions in 1921, four thousand on the basis of the second series, and the remainder on the basis of the third series. Poland is also negotiating for the purchase of wool.
