SCOTTISH LIQUOR POLL.
INTENSE PUBLIC INTEREST. LONDON, Nov. 4. Ten thousand organisers and canvassers, employing all sorts of media, including aeroplanes, were engaged in the Scottish liquor poll. Publicans and parsons vied with one another through the strenuous day. Intense public interest was displayed, the opposing parties parading the streets with banners and shouting war cries- The only dull places were the hotels.
