POLITICAL NOTES.
END OF THE SESSION. (By Telegraph.) (From Our Parliamentary Special.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. “We have missed the chance of closing this week,” said the Prime Minister in the House to-night. "That is perfectly certain, and I don’t care if 1 have to spend another week here to get the business of Parliament finished properly. There has been no rushing this session. Mr Fraser: The Housing Bill went through too quickly. The Prime Minister: It. was a good Bill, and 1 don’t think it was much improved when it left the House. My oi inion regarding such legislation ii that the sooner it is on the Statute Book and the people can get the benefit of it the better. I have given up hope of finishing this week, and 1 am quite prepared to stay till the middle of next week, or the end.” So far as he could see, there would be legislation introduced that had rot been thought of till a day or two ago.
