REPLY TO COMMISIONER. | SYDNEY. July 31,. The Post and Telegraph Association, replying to the Commissioner’s reporton the Federal Public. Service, warmly denies his conclusions, and declares that the Commissioner himself is responsible for the existing bureaucratic methods, and the bald fact- is that since the Commonwealth Government has assumed the control of the Postal Department, the service to the public has steadily deteriorated under the penny-wise poundfoolish system of economy imposed by various ’political! heads until it is unable to meet the reasonaWe requirements of the public.
