DOMINION CONFERENCE. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 30. The Dominion Conference of the Farmers’ Union decided to urge the Government to make all rural mail services free and adequate. That as the levy on local bodies for hospital and charitable aid unduly taxed holders of rural properties, the Government he asked io alter the law >o as to raise money on a more equitable basis. Remits were carried insisting on making more provision for competent nursing and medical services in the outlying districts, and asking the Government to bear the cost of maternity expenses in all cases of need.
