ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. At the Addington market to-day there was an increased yarding of both store and fat sheep. The sale fur practically all classes ul stock was good, sheep and cattie advancing on recent rates. Store Sheep.—There was a larger entry and a brisk demand, values being somewhat above recent sales. Good prices were secured lor forward Weiners and ewes. Mixed sex hoggets 27/ to 2b/x; good wetner hoggets 26/9 to 28/; interior wether hoggets 21/9; ewe hoggets 29, 11. to 3U/3; ordinary and interior 2,4, 6, and 8-tooth ewes, in lamb, 24/10 to 27/J1; good 2,4, 6, and 8-tooth ewes, in Jamb, 32/1 42/; aged,ewes, in lamb 33/6 to 26/6; aged empty* ewes to 25/; 2-tooth wetner-.s 32/3; 2 and 4-tooth i wethers 33/ to 35/6; 4-tooth wethers 32/6 to 35/; 4 and 6-tooth wethers 37/6 to 39/10. Fat Sheep.—There were eleven full races compared with eight last week, tne quality being the best for some time. The sale opened at an easier level than last week, but firmed up, and juices showed only a very slight easing on last week’s rates, the over-supply notwithstanding. Vealers.—There was a keen demand and an advance of about 5/ a head. Runners made up to £9 15/; good vealers <2/6; medium £4 5 : inferior 32/6. Store Cattle. —A good yarding both in quality and numbers. A good demand was experienced. Good 4 and 5-year-old bullocks £l3 10/ to £l4 5/; 3-year-old steers £lO to £11: 2-year-old steers £8 12/6; springing heifers £9 10/; dry cows £7 7/6 to £B. Dairy Cows. —A moderate entry. Springing heifers, to £lB 10/; medium £9 1 to £l5; second and third cal vers £l7 10/; ■ inferior £6 10/. Fat Pigs.--An exceptionally keen demand. Choppers £7 to £9 17/6: light haveners £6 18/ to £8 10/; extra heavy baconers £9 (average price per lb. lid to I 11%)); porkers £4 to £4 10/; heavy I porkers £4 15/ to £5 10/ (average price per lb., 1/ Ito 1/ 2). Store Pigs.—A large entry met with a keen demand, weaners being in keen inquiry. Sows in pig, to £11; empty sows £7: large stores £4 10/; weaners 31/ to 46/.
