TKE OPENING A>AY. LIST OF AWARDS. The Wanganui Poultry. Pigeon, and Cage Bird Society’s annual show commenced yesterday afternoon at the Drill Hall, the show being declared open by the Mayoress (Mrs T. B. Williams). There was a fine list of entries, all the breeds being well represented in the various classes, and entries coming from all over the North Island. Three North Island chiYU*pionships were awarded as follows: Wyandottes (white hen;: Mr T. B. Ho Ida way, with Mr J. L'rlich's exhibit reserve champion. Campines (cock): Mr F. W. Hawkings. White Plypiouth Rocks twhite cockerell): Mr T. Crosby. The Show will be continued to-day and this evening, and is deserving of Uie full patronage of the public.
