WELLINGTON, Jan. 30. The New Zealand Institute confirmed the recommendation of the awards committee conferring the Hutton memorial medal on the Rev. John E. Holloway, D.A.S.C., for scientific research, and the Hector medal for ethnology on S. Percy Smith, of New Plymouth.
