INFLUENZA.
NO CAUSE FOR ALARM. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 30. The Health Department report that is no occasion for alarm on account of the mild form of influenza prevalent and deprecate any panic, or prominence being given to the visitation. They report that the whole situation from Auckland to the Bluff is w’ell in hand, and so far reports are of a very reassuring nature. The schools and colleges in the North Island are of course remaining closed for the time being, as a precautionary measure, and the Department. profiting by its experience in the last epidemic, is well organised in case of another outbreak.
