CLABBY V. POOLEY
A 15 rounds contest for a purse of £250 between J. Clabby and A. Pooley will take place at the Auckland Town Hall next Friday evening. About 350 boxing enthusiasts assembled the other day to see Clabby training for the match. After going through his exercises Clabby sparred with firaham, Thomas, and" Oliver, well-known boxers, and his display convinced those present that he will give a good account of himself. Pooley is also in training, and can be depended upon to make the match an interesting one. A number of bouts between leading provincial amateurs will also be decided at the same tournament.
