Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Feildmg sale on sth iiißt., as follows : We had a good yarding- of both sheep and cattle. There was very poor competition for sheep, prices being in favour of purchasers. Wo quote: l<'at ewes <r. 335, 4-tooth wethers (low condition) 22* 6d to 23s Hd, 2-tooth ewes l*Js 6d. Uattle—i*'at cows £13_ to £14 ,ss, f.-mpty cows £5 os to £5 17s Cd, low condition 3-year steers to £9 15s, 2-year P.A. steers £7 10s to £8 los, 2-year S.H. steers £7 10s to £8 7s 6cl, bad coloured steers £3 4s to £5 os, 2-year S.h. heifers £5 to £7 Is, yearling heifers £3 to £3 3s, springing heifers £6 los to £12, bulls (2-year) £8 to £8 ss, yearling bulls 3 to £5. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Palmerston sale, 4th inst. We had an average yarding of both sheep and cattle. We quote the following prices: Sheep—4-tooth ewes to 22s 9d, woolly hoggets £1 0s Bd. Cattle—Fat cows £10 to £11 ss, forward cows £7 to £9, store-cows £3 10s to £5 18*, fat steers £10 los to £12 17s Cd. yeurlinff steers 33s Gd to £3 ss, year linn; heifers to £3 15s, springing heifers'" £7 15s to £8 ss, cows in milk to £9.
