TABBED AND FEATHEBED.

MacDou'gall, who was tarred and feathered, wrote a poem at the time of the Boer War, but during the present war it has been frequently republished. It refers to soldiers as sordid killers who would murder for a fee, and adds:
"Hog-souled and dirty handed, Ye sell yourselves for gain, And stand forever branded Red felons after Cain."
