In an exciting finish College A. just failed to the extent of four runs to gain a full three-point win, al* I though they Won on the first innings by 94 runs. With this lee^A'ay to make up in the second innings. V.M.C.A. put on the respectable total of 208 thanks to a capital innings of 67 by C. Treadwell, who scored freely on the off. He was ably supported by R. London 41, others to score well being Blamires and Atkinson1. School were left with 114 (runs-to get in seventy-five minutes. A bad start, was made, the first two wickets falling for two runs, but ! from then on the result was never lin doubt, Stowe and S. Gilmer bat- ! ting briskly, and the in-side war, materially assisted by the faulty fielding of V.M.C.A., several chances being declined.
