HAWERA, Dec. 6. Mr P. 33. Fitzherbert, official Labour candidate, spoke at Hawera last evening before a large audience He severely criticised the Liberal leader and his policy, and outlined Labour's platform as published by the party. He was given a fair hearing, but at question time yas Subjected to much hostility regarding his connection with Messrs Holland and Sempla, whom the questioners persisted in stating were disloyal. Mr Fitzherbert (who served in the South African War, and for a year in the recent war) declared that he would only support Mr Semple if he proved loyal. A returned soldier endeavoured to move a motion of no-confidence, but there was s.-> much noise that he could not be heard. Finally, amid much dissent, a motion of thanks and confidence was declared carried. '
