JUDGES DENOUNCE CRIMES.
•(The Times.) Received December 7,11.5 p.m
LONDON, December 5
Irish crimes were judicially denounced at the opening of the assizes. The Chief Justice at Cork said the root cause was the attitude of people, who allowed themselves to be downtrodden by a comparatively small number of reckless, wicked men. He asked Irishmen to assert their dignity of manhood to end a state of things which was a disgrace to civilisation.
Justices Kenny (Dublin) and Dodd (Belfast) spoke in a similar strain.
