Authoritative reports from Turkestan reveal significant Bolshevik activity in Central Asia." There was an extraordinary Mussulman demonstration at Tashkend in commemoration of anniversary of Bolshevik rule. Tens of thousands marched in procession. Russian Mussulmen bands playing revolutionary airs. Thirty Moslem children carried pictures of Lenin and Trotsky. There were similar demonstrations in Moscow, wlien the so-called Afghan ambassador declared for an alliance between Afghanistan and Soviet Russia*
