The strike has spread to Genoa, Alexandria, Bologna and Civitavecchia, but generally the position is less acute. Newspapers are republishing. .
ATHENS, December 4
Food riots led to bloody conflicts at Philippopolis, many being killed and wounded. There were also riots at Plevna.
