MR. McILVRIDE AT IMLAY WORKS.

On Thursday, in the dinner hour, Mr Mcllvride addressed the workers at the above works and was granted a good reception. He spoke along the lines of previous speeches, condemning Sir Joseph Ward's State Bank proopsals and the ineptitude of the Government in dealing with the land and cost of living questions. He briefly stated that the Labour party —the people's party—will deal with these matters in the interests of all the people. He quietly denied the existence of an alliance with Reform, stating Labour was content to stand on its own platform.

Time was given for questions, but none were asked. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried unanimously.
