AUCKLAND BUTCHERS' STRIKE.
A PLEASANT SURPRISE.
(Per Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, December 3
The decision of the Arbitration Court in the Wellington Butchers' dispute has been received in Auckland, the surprise for those interested is that by the motion of the Court it will apply to the four large centres. This changes the situation in regard to the butchers' strike, as the award provides substantial increases in wages. The employers consider no further conference is necessary, but point out that if the, wages are acceptable, it is open to the men to apply for reinstatement.
