ENGLISH TEAM'S TOUR

AUCKLAND, Dec. 2
Seven ratches in New Zealand Will be played by the English Northern Union League representatives next season. This decision was come to at a meeting of the New Zealand Executive. The, New South Wales Union wrote supplying particulars of the projected itinerary of the English team in their Australian tour, and requesting the local body to draw up a Dominion programme. This was agreed to as follows: —Test matches at Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, and a fourth match against local representatives. These four matches are to be played on Saturdays. In addition three mid-week matches will be played— one each at Hamilton, Napier, and Greymouth. The last-named team is to include Marlborough and Nelson players. Grants of £30 were allocated to West Coast and Wellington Leagues.
Rules governing the Tliacker Shield were discussed, and certain suggested alterations were referred to the Canterbury League. It was decided to present an appropriate souvenir to each member of the New Zealand team which recently toured Australia. ,
