PAEKAKABIKI'S PROTEST.
WELLINGTON, October 23. The Paei.akariki branch of the A.S.R.S. protests against the increasein salaries to officers as set out in the Bill, and demands that the wages of all Second Division men be increased at least 15 pev cent, before che end of the year; also, that members completing 4 0 years' service be retired, and that the Minister's right of veto in appeal cases be abolished.
