GONVILLE BOWLING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The eighth annual meeting of the above club was held at the Club's pavilion last evening, the president, Mr F. Squires, presiding over a large attendance of members. The report and balance sheet as read showed the club to be in\ a very sound position. Seventeen new members were elected.

The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr F. Bourne; vice-presi-dent, Mr H. A. Flower; secretary, Mr H. Rice (re-elected); treasurer, Mr F. Bourne (re-elected); committee, Messrs F. Symes, W. Corby; F. Webb Jones, C. Moutray, N. Svenson, R. Saunders, C. Bowater, W. Redwood, A. Brogg: delegates to the Wanganui centre, H. Ftower and H. Rice; selection committee, W. Redwood, W. Corby and C. Bowater.

It was resolved that the annual social be held on a date to be fixed, and a strong sub-committee was formed to carry out the arrangements.

Mr Flower generously donated a shield for singles competition among the junior players, which was accepted with thanks.

Subject to centre fixtures permitting it was decided to reinstate the club's full rink competitions.

The meeting was in every way enthusiastic and augurs well for the coming season.
