Wednesday, the 21st May, at 2.30 p.m. ao the Fire Brigade Hall, St. Hill Street, is" the time and place for the above sale; which represents one of the finest freehold blocks in Wanganui. As announced in our auction columns of this issue, John Couil has received instructions from the Guardian Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand, Ltd., administrator of the estate of. Jeram Devraj, deceased, to conduct the sale, and those requiring particulars should inquire from Mr E. M. Silk, local agent for the above company; Mr. C. Palmer Brown, solicitor, Rid.sr.Tny St. ; or front the auctioneer, Mr John Coull.

To-day the Melbourne, Ltd. received advices from their home buyers that further advances have taken place on all lines of Leicester hosiery. As these comprise practically the wiiole of the cashmere socks and stockings imported into the Dominion, higher retail prices may soon he expected to take effect. Buyers should make a note of this.
