TAIHAPE SALE
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Taihape on Wednesday, the 7th inst., when a good yarding of both sheep and cattle came to hand. There was a good attendance of buyers, and most of the lines submitted were sold, at prices in favour of buyers. Quotations : — Sheep: Mixed aged owes in lamb to Romney rams 12s 6d to 18s; s.m. ewes in lamb lls 6d to 15s; empty ewes 10s to 13s* • empty 2-th ewes 16s to 18s; small 2-th wethers 18s to 225; 2, 4, and 6-th wethers 28s; mixed lambs 9s to lls: cull lambs 3s to 6s; mixed woolly lambs, small, 9s 3d. Cattle: Small weaner steers 255; coloured 20-months steers £3 to £3 15s; 18-month steers £5 10s; 2s-year steers to £9 Is. 6d.
